: some of you may know my car was damaged at a garage last week. I took it today to have them look at the damage they did, well they said they only did half of what they really did! so I figure I will take what I can get. They send me to a body shop, and I go right up. The body shop took one look at it and said "well this looks like a 40$ job, do you want me to write this bill up for you?"
: ok so Im pissed, I didnt want to have the work done there, but I dont think any other body shop in the world will fix this for 40 bucks!

: the scratch they took credit for was about a foot long and took off about an inch of fiberglass down my sideskirt!

Get quotes at some other shops and take the estimates back to them. If they don't pay for what the actual damage is worth, tell them you'll take them to court and file a complaint with the states attourney and the BBB. And also you'll be telling everyone you know never to go to them.
How the hell does someone do only half of the damage??? They had possession of the car, the damage was caused while in their possession, they are liable for it all.
